Mission
Coastal Services Group's mission is to become a market leader in the provision of wireless telecommunications and related services in Africa and to African immigrants in the United States .
Market Opportunity
The ethnic African market includes a population of over 700 million in sub-Saharan Africa and approximately 7 million in the United States which represents significant demand for telecommunications (Voice, VOIP and Wireless) Internet connectivity and pre-paid bank debit cards. The telecommunications infrastructure in Africa has grown exponentially at a rate of 1,000 percent between 1998 and 2003, mainly due to the advent of wireless technologies and mobile phones, which now outnumber fixed lines two to one. The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) report, African Telecommunications Indicators 2004, containing these achievements also cites continued growth in Africa projecting the number of telephones in Africa increasing by two to thee times by 2010.
Broadband Wireless Services - Coastal Services Group currently provides broadband services in Africa using a proven wireless technology platform. In addition to serving larger private and public sector clients, Coastal's combination of satellite Internet service and VOIP phones can enable the rapid deployment of small-scale but profitable communication centers throughout the continent.
Wireless Local Loop - Coastal Services Group holds a national license in Liberia and plans construction of a CDMA network there. Because of the low costs of deploying CDMA, (more information can be found at www.cdg.org ) CSG can serve cities in Liberia that currently have no telephone service.
